Coffeefrom is our first bio-based material created from industrial coffee grounds and PLA, a non-fossil polymer. Durable and break-proof, Coffeefrom tableware products are FCM certified. They are BPA free – a chemical compound used to manufacture plastics and resin – and they are characterized by a natural coffee color. Cups and mugs have to be hand-washed, but they are suitable for dishwasher too with low temperatures (ECO setting up to 50 degrees).
Born from coffee lovers, the Coffeefrom cup is more than just a container. The design is the result of a deep study of the essential functional components, for an ideal coffee tasting: among them, the egg-shaped bottom, which avoids the breaking of the cream, the thickness at the bottom of the cup, to better preserve the heat and the structure itself, which ensures its stackability. Moreover, the handle and the cup weight ensure an ergonomic grip, which are tipycal of ceramic and glass coffee cups.View Products
Coffeefrom Mug is the evolution of the espresso cup, designed to be an everyday partner for any break time, at home or in office. The Mug expresses the ergonomics to be tasted. The design has been studied to ensure a secure grip; the anti-drip neck prevents from burning while holding the Mug and ensures a proper dosage of coffee. Furthermore, this Mug comes with a surprise: the upper edge is suitable to shape the dough for cookies, while the decoration on the bottom is conceived to impress and create them.VIEW PRODUCTS
Coffeefrom the result of a fundamental industrial symbiosis: the interaction with our partners is a core element for the recovering of waste materials, which are collected from the industry and transformed, put in stock and finally packed to move to the molding step.
Since 2021, Coffeefrom is a circular economy project led by Il Giardinone social enterprise, composed of a multidisciplinary team. We believe in the contamination of values and resources among supply chains, and this is why our environmental, social, design and industrial skills meet in a virtuous model of industrial symbiosis.
