Starting from the know-how in the recycling of industrial coffee waste as a by-product, we are able to start projects aimed at offering a second life to organic wastes. Thanks to the close cooperation of our supply chain, we also develop applications from post-industrial recycled plastics, thus creating new circular processes and innovative production models. We are open to collaborations with universities, start-ups and companies in order to create shared knowledge and expand the expressive possibilities of coffee grounds.

We are constantly experimenting with technologies and applications to make our innovation more sustainable and technically efficient. In addition to developing Coffeefrom® branded products, we explore new application scenarios with our customers and partners.
For co-created projects, we can start feasibility studies with the aim of evaluating together the path to be taken.

Product design

Starting from the analysis of needs and context, we study new applications in which coffee grounds are protagonists. We think and develop new products, from design to production, through our supply chain partners.

Material design

Thanks to our constant availability of coffee grounds, we test and develop new thermoplastic materials depending on the final application. We can provide composition analysis, mechanical, thermal and functional testing of plastic components.

Our patent

In collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta”, we have filed a patent for the extraction of nanocellulose from coffee grounds and its functionalization towards new raw materials that contain at least 50% of coffee wastes.

Our supply chain starts from a waste process, the coffee ground. We recover tons of coffee wastes from food industry to turn them into new second-raw material, according to the principles of end-of-waste. We create social impact, starting from the logistics and processing of waste coffee, and spread it through our products and services.
